Ingredients

Christmas Coffee

Amaretto Whipped Cream (makes enough for 8)

  • 1 C Heavy Cream chilled. Sub canned unsweetened coconut cream if vegan.
  • ¼ C Powdered Sugar
  • 3 tablespoon Amaretto Liqueur

Instructions

  • Add all Christmas Coffee ingredients to small saucepan over low heat. Get mixture hot without boiling, then pour into heated coffee cups and top with a dollop of amaretto whipped cream. Enjoy immediately!
  • To make amaretto whipped cream, use a chilled mixing bowl and either a hand or stand mixer.
Beat heavy cream to soft peaks, then add powdered sugar. Continue whipping to stiff peaks. Add amaretto and whip until fully incorporated and stable.

Notes

  • Amaretto Whipped Cream can be made ahead of time to make serving this yummy breakfast beverage just a little easier. It should easily last overnight in the refrigerator without needing to rewhip. It will last for up to 5 days, though it may require re-whipping to get some stability back.
  • Feel free to substitute a simple latte using espresso and your milk of choice for the coffee and cream portion.
  • Can be made iced by either using a blast chiller or opting for cold brewed coffee instead.
